YOU CAN CHOOSE AND HIRE YOUR HOLIDAY CAR FOR EXAMPLE IN THE SOUTH OF ALBANIA, IN SARANDË, AFTER A FLIGHT TO CORFU AND A

30-MINUTE FERRY RIDE AND DROP YOU OFF AT THE AIRPORT, HOTEL OR BUS STATION IN TIRANA.

OR OF COURSE THE OTHER WAY AROUND, PICK IT UP AT THE AIRPORT IN TIRANA OR AT THE HOTEL IN THE CITY AND DROP IT OFF AT THE PORT IN SARANDA. There is a transfer fee of €100 for these options.

For vehicles that are stationed in Sarandë and want to be picked up AND dropped off in Tirana, as well as for vehicles that are stationed in Tirana and want to be picked up AND dropped off in Sarandë, the transfer fee is of course charged twice, i.e. € 200.

Of course, there is NO transfer fee if you pick up and drop off a car stationed in Sarandë in Sarandë, just as there is no transfer fee if you pick up and drop off a car stationed in Tirana.

For vehicles stationed in Tirana, a small deposit is charged, which amounts to approximately €150 to €350, depending on the vehicle type and size.

For the cars stationed in Sarande we charge a

On-site handling fee: 10% of the pure vehicle rental price, but a maximum of € 100,--, due upon booking.

and the down payment is processed via our German bank account, the remaining amount is paid in cash upon vehicle pickup.

When booking the cars stationed in Sarandë, a deposit of 20% of the vehicle price plus the handling fee is due.

Crossing national borders (from Albania to Montenegro, North Macedonia and Greece) is generally possible, the surcharge for the "Green Card" is €40. However, there is no fully comprehensive insurance cover for abroad! In this case, extra insurance must be taken out at the border.

Insurance:

!!! DANGER !!!

Off-road driving is not permitted with any cars or SUVs!

Basic insurance included (equivalent to German liability insurance)

* Fully comprehensive insurance without excess € 5,--/day surcharge.

Not included: Damage to the vehicle exceeding 90% of the vehicle value, in this case

€ 300,-- deductible.

We are very open about the following rule and do not mention it in the small print:

Generally excluded from fully comprehensive insurance are scratches on the outside, damage underneath the vehicle and to the mirrors caused by narrow, unpaved roads not suitable for cars and other damage caused by extreme off-road routes/activities, as well as damage to the tires!!!
Even when driving off paved roads, the fully comprehensive insurance is void due to the increased risk of damage!

Nor is it valid in neighboring countries; here we can have a Green Insurance Card issued for €40, for which additional national insurance for fully comprehensive cover must then be taken out at the border.
