Our expectations have been more than fulfilled after our first trip to Albania. We are thrilled by the landscape, the people, the wonderful churches and monasteries...

Because our RV had a lot of breakdowns, we had to forego a visit to the south of Albania. But we will definitely come back.

Hello Martina/dear Hobo team, we just had 3 wonderful weeks in Albania and your travel guides were a great help. However, I had to realize that you have a clear advantage if you read the respective sections to the end. We drove from Maliq in a 7.2m semi-integrated vehicle on the SH71 to Cerrik. The first 20km or so were pretty shaken up. Quietly cursing the Hobo team, we got through 20km of construction and a road that actually no longer existed. But what came after that was pure compensation. The area there is probably hard to beat in terms of scenery. A real dream..... After the tour, I finished reading your tour description and then knew exactly why you wrote that you should turn around at a certain point when coming from the other direction if you are over 7m long. Luckily... I had overlooked it and so didn't miss anything. Thanks anyway for this great and helpful travel guide. Best wishes

At the moment we are on the track from Elbasan to Tirrana. Not an easy undertaking in the rain at the moment. But my favorite man Rainer and our Defender can handle it too. You probably can't be blamed for the weather. Tomorrow we'll head towards the coast. Maybe there will be a few more days of nicer weather there before we go home. As Montenegro and off-road beginners, we got this tour guide. There is a guide in booklet format and a download file with map data, information about the regions and tips for overnight stays. We have now driven three tracks and are really impressed. The GPX data in combination with the route guidance in booklet format works really well. We used Lucus Maps. You can load the file here and drive the route. All of the notable points and junctions are described in the booklet. It's hard to get lost ;) In addition, the route planning also took into account the variety of landscapes. We can only recommend the package offered here.
