The Albania motorhome tour ideally runs from north to south, as a starting point we have chosen the best campsite in Albania, the "Lake Shkodra Resort" is located not far from the Montenegrin-Albanian border, very quietly located directly on Lake Skadar, with an excellent restaurant.
The campsite is becoming increasingly popular and, despite its size with over 100 pitches, is almost always fully booked. Therefore, a reservation is necessary (especially in the high season), but there are now many other beautiful pitches available in and around Shkodra.
The tour usually ends in the lively coastal town of Ksamil, from there it is only a few kilometers to Greece
- Igoumenitsa - ideal for those who want to return home by ferry.
If you want to travel back home by land, you can either take the entire Albanian coast northwards, which takes a bit of time, or take a quick route inland via Gjirokastër/Fier/Durrës towards the north.
All details can of course be found in the tour package.

The journey takes you across many parts of Albania and also includes two North Macedonian cultural highlights
- you thus gain a comprehensive impression of a fascinating part of the Western Balkans.
With one exception, overnight stays take place on well-maintained, family-run campsites, usually with a good restaurant attached or typical local restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the site.
For those who prefer to be "out in nature" at night, there are of course alternatives a few kilometers away. Everything is possible!
On this motorhome tour through Albania, we ensure a balanced mix of cultural attractions and scenic features. These include Albania's top archaeological sites, UNESCO World Heritage cities, impressive landscape impressions along the southern coast and in the pristine east. There are detours to the breathtaking Alpine region, to one of the most spectacular canyons in Europe and to the lively capital Tirana, as well as an unforgettable ferry ride across what is probably the most beautiful and impressive inland lake in the Balkans.
Encounters with the extremely hospitable population are inevitable.
These are plenty of highlights during an unforgettable journey through one of the most pristine countries in Europe
- through Albania.
For a day we will guide you through the neighboring country of North Macedonia and visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site at Lake Ohrid as well as another very unusual cultural highlight.
One day is reserved for a "breather" on the southern Albanian Riviera.
Anyone who has on-board equipment (mountain bike or
E-bike or moped) can optionally take a tour through the pristine hinterland.
The total length of the tour is approximately
1,500 km. The road conditions along the routes can be managed by camper vans and trailers without any problems (this has always been shown in the past), the roads are asphalted, a small percentage may have some damaged areas. Construction sites are of course unpredictable.
The trip can of course also be undertaken with a (rental) car; the tour package includes suggestions for typical local accommodation. We can also arrange a vehicle for you.
